What AniFX is
AniFX will let you take a still image — a portrait, a product shot, a landscape, a piece of key art — and apply a specific, named effect to it: a cinematic zoom, a drifting cloud layer, a neon pulse, a light sweep. Each effect in the catalog is a deliberate, controlled treatment with a defined range of motion, not an open-ended prompt handed to a general video model. That distinction is the point: AniFX is built around a fixed library of effects you choose from and adjust, in the same way you'd reach for a named filter or preset in an image editor, rather than a text box that generates something different every time.
Current status
AniFX is pre-launch. The animation engine itself — the part of the product that actually takes an uploaded image and produces an animated output — is still in development. What you're looking at right now is a preview of the planned effects catalog: real, specific effects with real descriptions, concept demonstrations of what each one is designed to look like, and written guidance on how to use them well once they ship. Nothing on this site claims that an effect currently runs end-to-end — where that matters, individual pages say so explicitly ("concept", "planned", or "in development").

Think of AniFX as Photoshop-style effects for image animation, not a prompt-based AI video tool. Every effect in the catalog is a named, bounded treatment with defined controls — motion intensity, whether it affects the subject or just the background, whether it loops seamlessly — rather than an unpredictable generation from a free-text prompt. The goal is curated, controlled, repeatable results: apply the same effect to the same kind of image twice and get a consistent, predictable outcome, the way a well-designed filter behaves rather than the way a generative prompt does.
