Album Cover Effects
Square-format artwork built to represent a piece of music across streaming and physical formats.
Album covers live at a fixed square aspect and are judged in a scrolling list before anyone plays the track, so the effects AniFX is planning for them are built to be recognizable in a fraction of a second — a pulse, a flicker, a distortion — the visual equivalent of a hook.
Because album art carries genre expectations, motion here is also being designed to reinforce mood rather than invent one from scratch: retro-leaning distortion for a throwback record, sharp glow and pulse for something electronic. The goal is artwork that still feels like it belongs to the music once it moves.
