Glitch Shift

About this effect

Glitch Shift introduces short, irregular bursts of digital-looking distortion: RGB channel separation, horizontal block displacement, and momentary scan-line tearing, each lasting a fraction of a second before the image snaps back to clean. The bursts are spaced irregularly rather than on a fixed rhythm, so the effect reads as an intentional stylistic glitch rather than a technical fault.

Best practices

Works best on high-contrast, graphic, or tech-themed imagery; overuse or high frequency can make text and fine detail hard to read.
